The artwork finds its subject from the Chinese renowned novel “Red Mansion”, one of the four Chinese greatest novels. It represents the scene in which Jia Baoyu and Baoqin went to look for red plum flower at Longcui temple after versifying in Luxue pavilion with a group of girls. Miaoyu in the temple granted them two branches of flower and sent two servant girls to accompany them back. Baoqin wears a fur coat, holding flower in her hand. And two girls followed.
